The Christian mind and "golden ages"

I was hesitant to address this subject in this post, inasmuch as it could be misconstrued as a political message. That’s something I try to avoid on my Substack page, which is concentrated (for the most part) on greater concerns. But should you think there are no greater concerns than the political (and it would appear that more than a few Christians, whether they admit to it or not, do) — especially in the prevailing climate of the moment — then this post is written primarily with you in mind. Nor is this a “political” post; it is quite definitely a spiritual one. So, with that caveat, I bite the bullet and begin with Donald Trump’s none too modest Inaugural proclamation, “The golden age of America begins right now!”
