Steven HAuse has posted part of an interview we recorded in December on his “Love Unrelenting” channel on YouTube. The topic is the great American Romantic artist Thomas Cole and the book I wrote about his series of four paintings, The Voyage of Life. Had a great student presentation on your book this semester. You'd have been very pleased with it.
His paintings and Caspar David Friedrich really carry something of the sublime in them, I'd add Arnold Böcklin and a few others as well, all art making I'd say invokes the spirtual faculties. Glad you spoke about him and his work.
