I adore Dream of Gerontius. I played the Angel's Farewell at my own mother's memorial service twenty years ago. Glorious words, even more glorious music. Thank you for this posting today!

It is one of the most aesthically pleasing or atleast soothing season

Aside thrust,

Chucked down,

By the sheer might

Of a despot’s will,

Of a tyrant’s frown,

Who after expelling

Their hosts, gave,

Triumphant still,

And still unjust

Each forfeit crown

To psalm-droners,

And canting groaners

To every slave,

And pious cheat

And crawling knave,

Who licked the dust

Under his feet.

this line stuck out to me in particular thanks a million your reccommendations are always appircated.
